Slipping Jimmy…And the Shifting Schedule

Anyone ever watch the series “Breaking Bad?”

Love, love, loved it. Intense, head shakingly stupid mistakes made by some of the characters but fun.

One of the characters from that movie was the lawyer named Saul.

I’ve never really known any lawyers on a personal basis, and I’m sure there are a lot of good ones out there, but this character was your definite stereotypical lawyer…shady. 😛

But loved him anyway.

Well, they took his character and gave him his own series, “Better Call Saul”. We watched the first two shows of season two tonight. Of course, knowing the hubs we’ll end up binge watching it and will have the whole season wrapped up in a week. 😛

Season three is supposed to be out in April. I’m hoping they end it where he meets up with the Breaking Bad crew…it would complete his story.

One thing that really stands out is the complicated relationship with his older brother. It seems like his older brother is jealous of him and that he secretly loves to see his little brother fail.

Jimmy (a/k/a Saul) looks up to his older brother, which of course makes it even more complicated.

Know what I mean?

If you haven’t seen the show, I highly recommend it because of the strong characters and interesting story line.

That’s the kind of characters I want to write…strong, 3D, complicated characters who make messy choices and don’t always do the right thing, but you love ’em anyway.

Ah well, practice, right?

The Schedule

Speaking of practice…I’m going to tweak the schedule a bit as I’ve not touched the fiction at all for a few days. Instead of doing the exercise first thing in the morning I’m going to do an hour on the fiction, do the exercise and then start on the client work by 9 am.

Wish me luck! 😀
