Sidetracked Much?

If it’s not something in my world sidetracking me, it’s my own brain!

Some work got done today, but not nearly as much as I’d wanted. This means, of course, that I’m stacked up into tomorrow.

Sigh…at least it’s not as nuts as last week!

As for the sidetracking part…I’ve been thinking a lot lately about adding more revenue streams, so am toying with the idea of building a niche website.

On what topic you ask?

Uhh…yeah, me too, lol!

Maybe it’s because I’ve hit a brick wall with this last short story. I honestly don’t give a $*!! about the characters, which tells me it’s probably time to scrap it and start over.

I think it’s because I didn’t start with the premise of a character in a setting with a problem, but simply had the idea of a person being called “pig’s eye”!

If you can imagine – there’s some poor guy in Minnesota who is/was nicknamed “pig’s eye”. I came across that little tidbit of info and stored it away in my notebook months ago, so I don’t know anything other than that.

I still like the idea, but I think I came at it the wrong way because he wasn’t the main character in the story (and he should have been).

So we’ll see…when I have a bit more time this weekend I’ll have another go at it.

In the meantime, in the back of my mind, I really do want to explore the idea of a niche website.

We’ll see…I still haven’t forgotten about The Hope Project…will talk more about that little idea in a later post.

God bless you and yours!
