Whew…bit dusty ’round these parts!

Sorry about that, dear blog…

I’ve been so focused on my copywriting that my little blog gets the short end of the stick.

Trying to remedy that, but need to come up with an editorial calendar to help me with writing topics (I’ve got so many thoughts and ideas flying through my brain that it’s often hard to nail down what I want to write about.)

One thing that has been hanging out in the dusty corners and cobwebs of my mind is the Hope Project.

The Hope Project has morphed…at least in my head it has.

Prayer, as always, is vital, but we also need REAL Christian leaders who fear God more than man.

Leaders who know the Word – both in a relationship with Jesus and in knowledge about what God has revealed to us through his prophets and apostles…not to mention the Holy Spirit.

Leaders who aren’t afraid to speak the truth and won’t cower down to “political correctness”.

The Hope Project will be my little attempt to help Christians (especially new, baby Christians) know what to look for in a church.

They’ll learn how to truly study the Bible, learn what God has said about what we’re seeing in today’s headlines, learn what TRUE spiritual warfare is (hint: it’s nothing like the occultic garbage we’re seeing in a lot of so-called churches).

I’ll be sharing content from a variety of sources, as well as my own observations and experiences about what we’re seeing now and what we can expect in the future.

No, I’m not a fortune teller, prophet, seer, or anything else…I’m just someone who loves God, who wants to serve Him in whatever capacity I may, and who loves the Bride whom my Savior died to claim as His own.

And God has given me – and anyone, actually – the ability to see the outcome of things, based on what has happened in history.

Yes, history does play a vital role in understanding not only who we are and where we come from…it also gives insight into what will (or can) happen if a certain course is followed.

Why I care

1 Corinthians 4:6-7 – ESV

“I have applied all these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, brothers, that you may learn by us not to go beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up in favor of one against another. For who sees anything different in you? What do you have that you did not receive? If then you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive it?”

In this letter, Paul admonishes the Corinthians for their behavior.  The church was filled with strife…and he reminds them that everything they had was given to them.

Think about it…everything you have; physically, mentally, emotionally, relationally…everything…was given to you.

So if I don’t use what God has given me to benefit others, then I am wasting His gift…why would I want to do that?

Yes, the client work I do is for the benefit of my family…and for my clients’ families…because when they prosper and succeed, so do I.

But I also have the desire to reach others…to share with them what I’ve learned both in my own life and from others who also care about those traversing the wide road, following after anti-Christs in sheep’s clothing.

Hence the reason for this blog and the content I’ll be sharing over the days ahead.
