Still working on the balancing act of getting the writing done and the client work done.
I have several stories in a range of completion, so didn’t need to start the most recent one…but I did, lol.
I told myself I want to try my hand at a romance short story.
But so far, it’s kind of thin on the romance part and gaining in the “mystery part” because my subconscious has thrown in a couple of phrases that are coming from God knows where, lol.
Still, who knows if they’ll end up in the final piece…which I am trying to make sure stays a short story, unlike the aforementioned stories that are growing beyond the scope of what I wanted them to be.
Or, perhaps the more likely explanation is that I’m nearing the muddy middle and my critical voice is winning.
Who knows…
