Keep On Writing…and Publishing!

I’m in the process of creating a plan. A plan to keep on writing AND a plan to keep on publishing!

For example, I’ve got a short story completed that I’ve yet to publish because it needs a cover. And, until my writing is making enough revenue to support the cost of hiring a designer, I need to DIY them.

So, today I’m working on a cover using Gimp. I’ve got a vision in my mind of what I want it to look like, but if I’m being honest here, I’m not sure what genre to stick it into.

It’s got shades of cozy romance. However, there’s nothing implicit…just implied, and the “romance” is a subset of the main storyline. Which, let’s be honest here, it’s a short story, so the storyline is pretty brief. We’re talking around 4,500 words or so.

As is typical for most writers, the end result doesn’t match up with my hope for the story, but I’m a newbie to the whole fiction writing thing, so it’s just practice.

And, as my writing is practice, so too is my cover creation, lol.

I’ll keep you posted…
