Came across a great article submitted to Wisconsin Christian News by someone named Chris McMahan.
In a nutshell, he reminds Christians of the following verse:
2 Chronicles 7:14 (English Standard Version) if My people who are called by My name humble themselves, and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
Instead of wailing and wringing our hands about the LGBT agenda, the abortions, the greed, rampant narcissism and all of the other sins we’re faced with (both in the lost and saved camps), we should do what the verse says and then God will heal our land.
That’s how it works.
It’s not a call for sinners to repent (although they should).
No, it’s a call for those who are CALLED BY MY NAME to REPENT and THEN GOD will HEAL OUR LAND!
Everybody say it with me…”D’oh, why didn’t I think of that?”
